Repair and service businesses take items in, work on them and hand them back. Work orders keep each job on the customer record: a number, the item, the problem, the work, the cost, the dates and a stage that moves from received to delivered. When the job is ready, the customer gets a message without anyone having to remember.
See it set up for youMoving to Ready sends the customer a pick-up text.
Tickets on paper get lost, the customer calls to ask whether the job is done, and nobody knows which items are waiting for parts.
Choose the shop type and the team fills in the fields that matter, such as plate, VIN and odometer for cars.
Each job gets its own number, starting at 1001, with the customer, the item, the problem, the work needed, the cost and the drop-off and pick-up dates.
Choose the shop type, automotive, jewelry or general, and the fields you need, such as make, model, year, plate, VIN, odometer or colour.
Each order moves through Received, In progress or Waiting for parts, Ready and Delivered, with a history of every change.
An automation can send a message at any stage, for example "your car is ready", or some days later, such as a service reminder after 180 days.
The ready message goes out when the stage changes, and a service reminder follows 180 days after delivery.
A car comes in for brakes. The work order records the plate and odometer, moves to Waiting for parts, then to Ready, and the customer receives a text that the car can be picked up.
A ring is taken in for resizing with the customer’s description and price. When it moves to Ready, the customer gets a message to collect it.
